You are invited to join the Affirming Process Task Group after church on for a Question & Answer period.
Last winter, the Official Board at Glen Morris United Church established a task group to inquire into the Affirming Ministry Process offered by Affirm United/s’affirmer ensemble. The Affirming Ministry Process supports communities of faith in a journey towards embracing a public, explicit, and intentional welcome to members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Since then, the Task Group has been researching and exploring this process and we would love to share with you!
This Q&A is a time for you to share your questions and ideas about the Affirming Process and for us to listen to you (as a community of faith) about how best we can resource and guide this process. You are welcome to ask questions about the process, 2SLGBTQ+ topics, and share anything else you think it’s important for the Task Group to be praying and reflecting on as we continue our work.
