A Wonderful Community Event!

What a fabulous evening of food and community as Glen Morris celebrated Shrove Tuesday with a Pancake Supper after a two year hiatus!

Chair Janice Little reports that 84 paying customers along with 25 volunteers filled the Robson Room and the area was always bustling with people. "My favourite part was that people came to eat and many lingered to visit. Even when clean up was done and I was heading home, there was a group of people outside still talking and laughing about “the good ole days”. Although this was not considered a fundraiser, but a community event, after all expenses, $580 was realized. Janice shares that she was amazed at how easy it was to get volunteers and how everyone knew how to pitch in and help. Set up went smoothly and clean up was fast. She says that being chair person of this committee was effortless as everyone was so willing to help! And some members of the committee are already talking about how we can improve for next year!
