Dear Beloved Passing the Peace Readers,
I’m excited to share with you our Annual Report and I really hope you will take the time to give it a read! You might be thinking, “Michiko, Annual Reports are boring, they’re just something we have to do as a formality, I don’t have to read it.” And while I can’t actually force you to read anything, I will encourage you to see the Annual Report as a collection of stories of the many beautiful moments we have created and shared as a community over the past year.
As a minister, I hear from my colleagues many stories about churches struggling (especially after COVID19 lockdowns and all the changes the pandemic has brought). We are very fortunate to have this thriving community of people who have made everything in the Annual Report possible. Reading the Annual Report reminds us what to be grateful for and I hope will inspire you to offer words of thanks to those in our community that you appreciate.
I also hope you will join us this Sunday for the Annual Congregational Meeting. This is when we can plant seeds that will grow for many years to come and ensure as a community we are continuing to orient ourselves to where the Spirit is calling us.
May the peace of Christ be with you,
Rev Michiko
