Dear Glen Morris United Church,
Peace be with you.
For those of you who are feeling weary, I offer you this message of hope as a reminder that we were made for these times. In the exact moments when our faith is tested and we are struggling and wonder where God is in all of this - is the opportunity for you to be the answer to your own prayers.
God is still here, God is still with you and within you.
You are the promise of hope. You are a peacemaker.
May the peace of Christ be with you this week, may it be overflowing and spill out into all you do, may it remind you that you are enough just as you are, may it transform you.
Nov 8: Remembrance Day
Nov 15: UCW Service - Michiko away
Nov 22: Connect Zoom Service: Telling Our Faith Story
November 29: Advent 1 Communion Service
Please note that information about each worship service can also be found in the “Events” section of the website.
1. I (Michiko) am going to be away on vacation from November 9 to November 15. I am making the best of my vacation time during this pandemic and taking this time to have laser eye surgery so I will be in the comfort of my home enjoying cat naps with Ru. I will respond to emails and phone calls as soon as possible when I return.
2. Due to covid19, the Glen Morris United Church building remains closed at this time for all worship, social gatherings, and meetings. A decision about reopening the church building will be made at the upcoming Official Board meeting being held in the evening of November 19th. I am grateful to see that we are making the best of an unfortunate situation by moving forward with church renovations while the building is closed.
Many many thanks to each person who has supported the church throughout this pandemic. Even though the building is closed, the church remains open and requires your support! Our staff continue to work from home and we are using this time to renovate the church so that it may serve the community even better! All the information you need about how to contribute financially to the church can be found here.
Yours in Christ,
Rev Michiko
