With about 50 congregants in lawn chairs and under sunny skies, Rev. Michiko Bown-Kai led a wonderful outdoor service for the Ayr Ministerial’s last ‘Worship in the Park’ at Centennial Park, Ayr for the Long Labour Day Weekend on Sunday, September 1st. With music provided by members of Glen Morris United’s choir, with all music accompanied on guitar by Joel Wallman, the congregation participated in word and song and the service ended emotionally as all gathered together in a circle in the gazebo to sing ‘I’ll Fly Away’. In partnership with the churches of the Ayr Ministerial, this Sunday's offering of $135 will support the Mobile Food Market, a satellite of the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank which is on location at Knox United in Ayr on Wednesday mornings.
