Applefest Success!

A huge thank you go to the 20 volunteers who peeled apples, made pastry and assembled and baked pies for the St. George Applefest! As well, thanks to those who made financial donations as well as all ingredients needed!

The committee shares that this year 104 pies were available for sale in front of St. George United Church and sold out in 1 1/2 hours! The final funds raised was a record $2,144!

But a HUGE thank you goes to Liz DeGroote and Lyanne Lynch who have volunteered to be your Applefest Committee at least 25 years (they've lost count)!! And they have it down to a science - bravo Liz and Lyanne!
