Glen Morris Church was active both inside and outside the church building. Here are some of the highlights that our church members made happen:
- We welcomed with open arms our past minister, Rev. Debra Schneider and our well loved Rev. Michiko Brown-Kai to lead us in worship.
- The Search Committee received 14 applications for the position of minister at Glen Morris United Church
- We held a Zoom Q&A session with Jeff Brown, answering questions from those who attended
- The UCW celebrated it’s senior members with a high tea
- Many volunteers have helped clean the manse under the direction of Margaret Fluery and endless hours of painting the manse havebeen lead by John Graham.
- The church hired Nancy Smith as our new custodian
CONNECT events continue to happen:
- Janice Little lead three community walks with the primary children from Glen Morris Public school introducing them to the many features of Glen Morris
- John Graham gave a talk and tour of Centennial Hall during each community walk (X3)
- Margaret Fluery introduced the children to the church and played the pump organ, pipe organ and piano (X3).
- Neil Sandilands told schoolhouse history to the grade two students during the community walk
- Jeff Leader told of his connections to Canada and gave information about the “Save the Turtles” project
- Karen Murray-Hopf sang her song 'Canada's Kids' for the grade 3/4 class during one of the community walk stops
- The Faith Formation committee sponsored “A Mother’s Appreciation event” for children to bring their mothers to an afternoon of activities. Over 40 community members attended.
