A tireless group from our renovation committee and board of stewards are seeing the fruits of their labours realized this week as renovations continue this month at Glen Morris United Church! We are most fortunate to have received a  Faithful Footprints Retrofit Energy Grant for $30,000 from the United Church of Canada to assist in making our historic church more energy efficient.  Work includes upgrading the hydro to a 200-amp service, adding insulation, installing LED lighting, replacing two aging oil furnaces with two air-to-air heat pumps with propane backup, and replacing the electric hot water tank with a tankless on-demand hot water system.  Our goal is to cut our electricity and heating costs in half thereby reducing our carbon footprint!
