The Outreach and Social Justice Committee is promoting support throughout the month of May AND NOW THE MONTH OF JUNE for The Salvation Army Food Bank in Brantford and Paris. They have expressed a need for the following items:
• large and small soups
• beans in sauce
• canned meat (spam, chicken or turkey)
• pasta in sauce (like zoodles, chef boyardee)
• juice boxes, large juices
• cookies and crackers
• peanut butter
• canned fruit
• kids' snacks (peanut-free granola bars, fruit cups and apple sauce cups)
• hygiene items (feminine hygiene, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and shampoo).
Items can be placed in the bin in the Heritage Room and the Outreach Committee will deliver them to the Food Bank.
In addition, they are looking for any new contacts for donations of potatoes and eggs (farmers) and any new companies or groups that are interested in working with them to address the needs of the community.
