Peace be with you!

Coffee Hour and Worship Service- Sunday May 31

Coffee Hour starts at 10 am

Worship at 10:30 am

Come as you are and when you are able! All are most welcome to join (pets included)! Sunday morning is your chance to connect with each other and share in worship. Over the next little while we'll be exploring the theme Unraveled: Seeking God When Our Plans Fall Apart. May we find God, like a Holy Knitter, stitching us back together and weaving us into the intricate web of life.

This week we celebrate Pentecost where we remember the baptism of the disciples by the Holy Spirit and celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit here and now in our own lives.

You can also join by phone! Call 1-438-809-7799 and enter 88024485751# when prompted.

Supporting the Church

The pandemic has not closed the church! This past couple of months have been challenging but have also opened up the possibilities of new ways of being church. This means that your care and support of the church is still needed and greatly appreciated. Please consider using alternative methods for financial offerings at this time such as mailing cheques or an online donation.

We are also looking for people interested in offering their leadership for our online worship over the next little while. Please be in touch if you would like to sign up for any of the tasks needed such as reading scripture or sharing your gift of music.

Have a prayer request or just need someone to talk to?

I’m only a phone call, email, or text away if you are ever in need to be in touch. Prayer requests and questions about God and spirituality or just a friendly hello are all great ways to keep in touch. Sometimes we can tell ourselves that we don’t deserve help because others need it more but the truth is, all of us need each other and need support from time to time. Don’t be afraid to reach out!

Worship Opportunities

Online for worship has created new opportunities for us to gather together. Let us join our siblings in Christ in worship!

A prayer from Laura Jean Truman

God,
Keep my anger from becoming meanness.
Keep my sorrow from collapsing into self-pity.
Keep my heart soft enough to keep breaking.
Keep my anger turned towards justice, not cruelty.
Remind me that all of this, every bit of it, is for love.
Keep me fiercely kind.
Amen.

Yours in Christ,

Michiko
