An art project created by residents young and not so young at the Glen Morris Community BBQ in August has travelled and wound it's way through this village, finally coming to stay permanently in the gardens beside our new Heritage Room entry at Glen Morris United Church. Janice Little and Sue Harkness engaged those in attendance at the BQ to paint beautiful rocks in shades of a river, with inspirational words or sayings on each as part of 'The Grand Kindness River' project. Artfully placed, the river of rocks started at Centennial Hall, moved to Glen Morris Central School then on to the Grand River Access area and finally at the church. It was a perfect way to keep the memories of our 175th Anniversary year alive for months - maybe years - to come.
