UCW Bazaar 2020 CANCELLED
For the first time in many years, we regret to announce that our 2020 UCW Bazaar is cancelled due to COVID-19. This is a major fundraiser for the UCW, so we still need your financial support.
The Glen Morris United Church has been closed for months reducing the normal monthly income received through weekly givings and through rentals. Meanwhile, plans have been finalized to make major upgrades to our Church facility. Work this fall will include adding insulation, improving lighting, replacing two old oil furnaces with two air-to-air heat pumps, and replacing our electric hot water tank with a tankless on-demand hot water system. Our goal is to cut our electricity and heating costs in half thereby reducing our carbon footprint. Construction of a fully accessible Vestibule (the Heritage Room) and Office are planned to begin this November. We ask that you review the attached list of items sold at last year’s Bazaar and calculate what it cost you to make the food you donated.
How much did you spend at the bazaar? Please consider donating that amount to assist the work of our United Church Women in supporting our Church, the Renovations, and Outreach. Any amount will be gratefully received. Please send donations through e-transfer to the Glen Morris UCW at bmft20@bell.net. No password is needed.
